2002: Family Maintenance Enforcement Program
Maximus comes to Canada by acquiring Themis Program Management & Consulting Ltd. Between 2002 and 2019 through Themis, Maximus Canada delivered the Family Maintenance Enforcement Program for the Province of British Columbia.
2004: Health Insurance BC
Under the banner of Health Insurance BC, Maximus provided full program support for PharmaCare (drug benefit program) and Medical Services Program (medical insurance). These programs serve citizens and providers with enrolment, account maintenance, claims processing, document management and IT systems support.
2010: Medigent®
Maximus Canada acquires DeltaWare Systems, based in Prince Edward Island. DeltaWare is a market leader in the development and deployment of medical and drug claims software and its cornerstone product — Medigent — is in use in nine provinces and territories.
2012: Ontario Drug Benefit
The Government of Ontario selects Maximus Canada to provide administrative services for the Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) program. ODB provides support to nearly 2.6 million Ontario citizens with drug coverage under the Seniors Co-Payment Program or Trillium Drug Program.
2017: Service BC Contact Centre
Maximus Canada begins administering the Service BC Contact Centre, providing front-line support for many provincial government programs and services. The Service BC Contact Centre offers a variety of services via the citizen's communication channel of choice, including telephone, email, SMS and video chat.
2018: WorkBC Centres
Maximus Canada is selected to operate WorkBC Centres in three catchment areas in British Columbia: South Okanagan, Abbotsford and Mission. In 2019, Maximus Canada acquires GT Hiring Solutions, adding Victoria and Nanaimo catchment areas to their employment services offering.
2019: Elections Canada Contact Centre
Maximus Canada administers a contact centre for Elections Canada. As a first point of contact for all Canadians during federal elections, the Ottawa-based contact centre fields questions from the public across the country.
2021: Canada Revenue Agency Contact Centre
Canada Revenue Agency contracts Maximus Canada to respond to general telephone enquiries related to CRA administered COVID-19 Relief Benefit programs.
